One of my favourite classes simply because seeing a great book evolve from a student's portfolio is a relatively quick but impressive process. We typically spend the morning on these one-day classes familiarising ourselves with the bookmaking software (from Momento) before moving on to techniques where you can make a regular-looking book appear quite special...
All you need for this class is a little experience using Photoshop Elements (or similar software - it could be Picasa (free) or something like Snapseed for the iPad) and 100-250 of your own photos. Once the class is over, students save their book project so they can finish it at home.
